The original circa 1950's single-story bungalow was designed by the former dean of USC's School of Architecture, Quincy Jones, and featured a detached garage, exposed roof framing, and large expanses of glass.

The goal was to design a home for a young family that reflected their casual lifestyle, but with a sense of elegance - all while maintaining the integrity of the house's original design intent. A new rotated two-story volume contains a dramatic entry hall and stairs. A new second floor adds a master bedroom suite with balcony and a guest bedroom and bath.
